This Trust is a voluntary public organization uniting researchers, engineers, university lecturers, architects and other specialists of the history of techniques who care for the research, preservation, and incorporation into the modern cultural environment of the manufacture, scientific, and technical testimonies from the past.

The target of the Trust is to register, survey, evaluate, and popularize the historic objects of manufacture, techniques, and science - the industrial heritage of Latvia - with the aim to preserve them and find the way for applying them in cultural, tourism, or economic industry. To reach the target, a research has been done, as well as institutions are organized, seminars, conferences, and expeditions are held along with other non-commercial activities for surveying and putting into order the industrial cultural environment.
